HOW TO TRAVEL TO THE CITY OF PRAGUE

Note according to the “Airport Taxi“ rules:
when more destinations are required the price consists of the first destination
zone charge and the rest is charged 25 KC per kilometer. One minute of waiting =
6 KC. The cited prices are the same for the whole day/night.

Some taxi drivers will probably try to cheat you (you could pay easily much more
than you should). You should tell the taxi driver well in advance (before the
trip) that you will need a receipt from him (it could help

3. THE LEAST EXPENSIVE TRAVEL BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
You can get basic information and buy tickets in the following stand:
Transport info METRO-TRAM- BUS,
DP PRAHA in the Airport Hall (see the “map“)
(open 7:00-22:00 everyday)
Exactly same tickets are used in buses, trams and the subway.
Cost of individual tickets:
12 KC (transfers possible, valid 60-90 minutes)
8 KC (no transfers, valid 15 minutes)
short-term season tickets:
70 KC (valid 24 hours from the time of the first use –
tickets must be validated in the appropriate machine)
200 KC (valid 3 days)
250 KC (valid 7 days)
280 KC (valid 15 days)
Please note that you conference badge will cover fully your municipal transportation cost (metro-bus-tram) for the period June 12-17.
You can also buy individual tickets later in the METRO (subway, underground) ticket machines or in almost all newspaper/journal stands in the city. It is not possible to buy tickets inside trams. The ticket bought directly from the bus driver costs slightly more (15 KC) in Prague.

5:30 to 23:50, intervals about 15 minutes (peak hours), 30 minutes (off-peaks).
Use stop „Větrník“ for Hostel Větrník

BUS 510 – Airport –
Divoka Sarka (night tram number 51 connection to the downtown),
available
from 1:00 to 4:30, intervals 60 minutes. Not very convenient option.
Note: METRO
does not work between 24:00 and 5:00.
